The food at a wedding is so important. Have you been to a wedding and been served the same dry chicken breast and mashed potatoes that you’ve had at other unremarkable wedding dinners? When were you last at a wedding where you told the bride and groom that it was the best food you have ever had at a reception? We want you to have that, regardless of the menu or caterer you choose.
Brides and Grooms are choosing menus that fit their style, preferences and personalities. The most important part of creating a menu that is perfect for your perfect day is selecting a caterer that listens and wants to understand your vision for your wedding reception. If the fit is right, you will be able to have everything you want. We hope your caterer is asking a few important questions from the beginning… What are your favorite foods? Do you cook together, and if so what do you prepare? Where do you go and what do you order when going out? What meal did you share on your first date? Any dislikes that we should avoid? What do you see on your perfect reception dinner menu?
The menu can be as creative or traditional as you could want. Buffet or stations?
Thai or tenderloin?. Barbecue or bratwurst? Flaming shrimp and grits station? Spiced bison with pomegranate gastrique?. Avocado boats with chipotle tuna salad? Granny’s gourmet mac and cheese station? Hand-rolled tamales stuffed with THE BEST FILLINGS? Let it be exactly what you want it to be.
Find the right caterer, then create the right menu. You CAN have everything you want, and more. Perfect.

We at Elitevp – Cinematic Weddings are proud to be Texans, so we thought “what better to blog about than this great state!” So, here it is . . . the Top 10 reasons to get married in Texas:
#10. The Weather! Since Texas is so large, the climate varies from one end of the state to the next, but Central Texas is just amazing, especially in the Spring!
#9. The Scenery. So unique is the hillcountry that a few years back National Geographic Magazine sent its photographers to this wonderful state for an article they called . . . you guessed it “Texas Hill Country.” It showcased the people, scenery, and Texas wildflowers. I still have that issue on my bookshelf!
Side Note (Had to throw this in!): Click HERE for one of my all-time favorite ads (from a production and storytelling perspective) directed by one of my cinematography heroes, Jeff Bednarz of Directorz’s! If that doesn’t make you want to hop in the car and enjoy Texas, I don’t know what will!
#8. The Fun. Texas has it all, and the Central Texas region is no exception! There’s just a ton to do. Don’t jet immediately after the event! Spend a little time soaking it all in. Take in a little lake time, float on the Guadalupe River at Gruene, enjoy some Texas BBQ, visit a few historic districts, or just take a drive. Even if you aren’t the lucky winner, you MUST make your way down to Canyon Lake – not too far and you’ll find yourself in Wimberly, Gruene, or Marble Falls – great places to just chill. You won’t be disappointed!
#7. The Culture. We are extremely lucky to live in a nation with such great diversity, and Texas is a fine example. From the annual German Wurstfest celebration in New Braunfels to Mexican Fiesta in historic downtown San Antonio, you don’t have to drive far to enjoy the rich culture that makes Texans who we are! What a great atmosphere for tying the knot!
#6. The People. It never gets old hearing new Texans or visitors say “everyone’s just so friendly here!” It’s true, especially of Texas wedding vendors and their staff!
#5. Food! We have the pleasure of serving up a little Sullivan Street Catering on March 31, 2012. But, even aside from this amazing event, hillcountry dining choices are limitless. A couple that come to mind in Central Texas are The Gristmill (Gruene, TX) and Black’s BBQ (Lockhart, TX). When in doubt, Yelp!
#4. Music. The Entwined 2012 event is proud to have The Vintage 15 as part of the event. Texas music is like no other! Anyone who’s listened to a concert at Gruene Hall will tell you that Texas country is something else!
#3. The Venues. Obviously, the Studio at Fischer rocks! On our first visit to the studio, it was immediately clear that this was no ordinary venue. It’s definitely one of those “personality-infused” choices described by Brandi at Country Sugar. With a dedicated mega photo backdrop, lighting, etc. it has a style all its own (I can’t wait to see this place transform into pure wedding goodness on March 31, 2012!). Country Sugar and Statue of Design will definitely have their way with this place (And that’s a good thing!).
#2. The Talent. Peruse any popular wedding directories (Style Unveiled, Stylemepretty, Wedding Photojournalist Association, etc.) and you’ll find a TON of wedding talent from this great state! In fact, many Texas wedding vendors are consistently hired for destination work in other states and countries! During our recent Inspiration Shoot, we had the pleasure of previewing a small sample of the amazing talent that will be displayed on March 31, 2012. But needless to say, Texas wedding vendors definitely rock on multiple levels!
…and the #1 Reason to Get ‘Entwined’ in Texas is…
#1. Entwined 2012! You can win it and enjoy all of the above for free!!
Elitevp – Cinematic Weddings is thrilled to be part of Entwined 2012 and proud to be from TEXAS!!
